All-Day Mindfulness Retreat
November 2, 2024
9:30 am - 4:00 pm Live on Zoom
A day of mindful silence can be a powerful and restorative experience, whether you are new to mindfulness or a seasoned practitioner. In that spirit, we would love you to join us for a day of mindfulness meditation practices.
Before the day begins, we will send you instructions for creating a sanctuary in your home. During the day, we will slowly guide you through practices that expand your ability to settle and soften. If you are new to mindfulness, you will be given options to ease in and out. If you already have an established meditation practice, this will be a deepening day.
Some of the practices you will be offered include:
Sitting Meditation
Gentle Mindful Yoga
Walking Meditation
Mindful Eating
The daylong silent retreat is included in our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Self-Compassion courses and is open to anyone seeking a guided meditation retreat experience. All that is required is that you come with an open mind and heart. Read more on what you can expect below the schedule and registration details.
Creating a Home Retreat Experience
Find a space in your home to spend the day undisturbed.
Let family and friends know that you will be in silence.
Prepare food and beverages beforehand to allow you to ease into mindful eating as seamlessly as possible.
Create a refuge by turning off your phone and other technology during the retreat.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
For your comfort, keep a yoga mat, blankets, meditation cushions, and extra layers of clothing handy
Preparing for your retreat
After registering, you will receive an email a day or two before the retreat with information on how to connect, guidance on using Zoom, suggestions for making your space a comfortable refuge, and more details on what to expect from the day.
Once the retreat begins, we’ll ask you to turn off your camera and microphone to have as much privacy, peace, and quiet as possible.
Please get in touch with us with any questions about participating in these offerings virtually.
We look forward to sharing the day with you.
