Mindfulness Professionals Group

Do you incorporate mindfulness practices into your profession as a Therapist? Nurse? Teacher? Social Worker? Are you interested in learning more? If so, please join us to meet and share ideas about how to bring mindfulness into your profession. We meet in the afternoon on the fourth Thursday of each month to discuss a specific topic or article related to the practice of mindfulness.

Next meeting, Thursday, May 28, 12:00 – 1:00 pm:

May Topic: What is Mindful Communication?
Join us as we discuss and experience some mindful communication! We will be discussing author Susan Chapman’s article: Stop, Wait, Go.

“We begin practicing mindful communication by simply paying attention to how we open up when we feel emotionally safe, and how we shut down when we feel afraid. Just noticing these patterns without judging them starts to cultivate mindfulness in our communications. Noticing how we open and close puts us in greater control of our conversations.” -Susan Chapman

We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month and welcome everyone who is interested in bringing mindfulness into our schools, hospitals, businesses, therapy relationships and society as a whole. Please bring a friend or colleagues.
