MBSR, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Eat for Life All Day Retreat Schedule
Five times a year, the Grand Rapids Center for Mindfulness offers All Day Retreats as a part of the Eight-Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course. The retreats are held on the Saturday and Sunday following the sixth week of class. As a participant of the eight-week class, you are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to deepen and expand your practice. Please don’t miss it!
During the day, you will experience a wide range of mindfulness practices including: sitting meditation, mindful yoga, mindful walking, mindful eating, loving kindness meditation and visualization practices. The only thing that is required is that you come with an open mind and see for yourself what happens.
Please arrive at 8:50 to sign in and settle. Bring a sack lunch, a covered water bottle, a covered cup for tea/coffee and any snacks that you would like during the day. Wear loose comfortable clothing, dress in layers for warmth and bring anything else that will help to make your day more enjoyable.
We will provide yoga mats, meditation cushions, chairs, blankets, tea, coffee and water.
All past participants of the MBSR Course are warmly invited to attend. Members of the general public also may attend for a $35 suggested donation to our scholarship fund. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 24 hours prior to the event.
